Warnings. They are necessary but can be a little scary. Like this orange one in Northern Colorado, on our way to Colorado Springs at a rest area:

These signs are as you head into the building to use the restrooms.
Significantly, there are also the signs for the Purple Heart Trail (my father received one for serving in Vietnam) and the Blue Star Memorial Highway.
My point here is that I thought to myself, “That’s all I need, to run into a rattlesnake in the bathroom.” On my return outside, since I did NOT run into a rattlesnake, which would not be my first encounter with one, I might add, I thought, “These military tribute signs are really cool!” So I took a picture to include all three. I love the saying, “Freedom is not free.” Certainly not for those who made the ultimate sacrifice. And not for those who served at any time in war. It’s also not free for those military families who await the return of their loved one, praying every day they are safe and come home soon, or the men and women who do the actual serving while missing their families and knowing they are missing the very daily life things we take for granted. I hope we all respect and appreciate what our military has done for this country, for each one of us.
