Day 59 – Sunday, More General Conference Day 60 – Hurtling Toward the End Goal

Other than noting that on Sunday, there was no riding and Art and Cindy enjoyed General Conference and the uplifting messages contained within it, as did Jay and I, there is nothing else to report.

On Monday, day sixty of this journey, Cindy grabbed a photo as Art started on his ride and ran into a fellow rider:

He rode seventy-five miles! While he was riding, he passed a pumpkin patch. It’s on the other side of the dirt line between the grass/weeds and the field. He asked if I’d gotten my pumpkin yet – LOL:

A nice pond right off the roadway:

They are traveling through some really beautiful country now:

Then, it happened. Crossing the Wabash River, and it was Hello, Indiana! This state holds a special place in my heart. Both of my parents were born and raised in Indiana, and two of my siblings were born there. I still have cousins living there, too.

A photo of the Wabash from the other side of the road:

The cute little town of Cynthiana, Indiana:

They stayed in Burdette RV Park:

It had a nice playground:

And a pool:

Next Up: Day 61 – Tuesday In Kentucky!

  1. i spent 35 years of my life in Kentucky. The hills and the hollers are about to get real, Art. But itโ€™s a straight shot into Florida now. If you are going down the I-75 corridor be sure to see Berea and Renfro Valley( south of Lexington) nice RV park at Renfro Valley. All the country music stars stop there.

    1. Thank you for the tip! I know they spent a couple of days enjoying Nashville before moving on today. I’ll keep this in mind when Jay and I head that way later in the New Year. We plan to hit Mardi Gras again – oh, the music alone! – and then I’d like to head to Tennessee, a state I’ve never been in.

  2. I decided to take the low road by going across the state of Kentucky on the west side where there are fewer hills. My niece lives in the East part of Kentucky, but we may have to visit her on the way home, if the weather permits.
