Universal Studios, Deux – Islands of Adventure

On the first day, second half, we took the Hogwarts train to Hogsmeade in Islands of Adventure. A photo of a snowy Hogsmeade:

Hagrid’s Hut:

Mind you, this means we are on our way to Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Ride. I swear, it nearly killed me 😉 LOL. That’s Art in front of me:

Continuing to walk toward the ride of doom – LOL:

Dragon Eggs. A little blurry. I think I was on the move in line:

The Egg Identification Chart:

Fire Crab Shell on the wall and also blurry, dang it:

The ride. It was a bit too wild for me. On a turn to the left with a quick turn to the right, I almost passed out. And I was lifted a tiny bit, which scared me. No, thank you. Never again…..It doesn’t look nearly as scary as I felt. I guess this stock photo gives you the best idea of what they look like. I rode in the sidecar. And it still freaked me out:

We took some photos outside Hogwarts School, which was closed on this day. Notice I’m drinking another butterbeer:

A closer photo of us:

The side of the School, but the sun was a big issue on this chilly day:

We took a walk into Jurassic Park:

Velociraptor. Is it Blue?:

I did NOT ride this roller coaster, the Velocicoaster, but two of the three thrill seekers did. Art stepped back on this one, too. It’s crazy!:

At the bottom:

Yikes! Flipping over:

A couple of cute photos in Jurassic Park. The jeep being chased:

Close-up of the T. rex:

We left Jurassic Park to head on to Skull Island – Reign of Kong. Again, the sun was an issue in photos:

Jay and I. He’s scared – LOL:

We rode another roller coaster with 3D motion simulator elements here. It was fun. You ride in a bus. In this case, I was getting worn down, so I’ll use a couple of free stock photos for you. These are as you walk down to enter the actual ride:

This sand/water creature:

A side image of the above creature:

Kong fights a couple of T. rex beasts. Who do you think wins?:

The bus you ride in during this one:

This animatronic witch speaks in her native tongue. I said, I swear she yells, “Rock On!” LOL:

It was fun. I enjoyed it. Now I want to see the movie since I haven’t.

Heading back to the first park to exit. The train comes into the station:

And then, in honor of my brother, Kevin, I had to grab a photo of the Minion named Kevin. This is the tallest Minion. While my brother, Kim, is around six feet, Kevin is six feet, five inches tall, so Minion Kevin and my Kevin are…the same, right? LOL. Love you, Kevin!:

Next Up: Saturday at Universal Epic!
