Day 77 – Hello Florida! And Kerri Sees Her Brother!

Our Hero began his day with excitement, knowing it was coming. He has now reached THE state! That’s right, he passed into Florida, Dear Readers:

Woo Hoo! He rode forty-eight miles today and, with the hills he hit, gained 1,605 feet in elevation! But the ride was a rough one. Art has breathing issues he deals with, and there was a fire in the area, so he rode through a smoky haze. It’s hard to see in the photo, but it’s there in the distance:

To top it off, there were hills:

A rough day for him, but that evening, he and Cindy visited the Tallahassee Temple and spent the weekend seeing their granddaughter in Florida!

Jay and I arrived in Pennsylvania on Thursday to settle into our campsite, and on Friday, we visited my brother and his wife! I hadn’t seen him for around seven years, so it was a wonderful visit, and we LOVE Pennsylvania! What a beautiful state. I did not take any photos at this visit, as I’ll save that for when I get to see my nieces and their children – all grown to teen or college age. I’m so excited!

This is our rig in our spot:

The changing colors are so pretty. Here is another photo of the area we are in:

Here is a different direction showing more colors in the trees:

And I bought some new lanterns for our doorway that, when on at night, show hummingbirds and flowers through the design. They are gorgeous:
