Dear Readers, let me tell you, it seems the hills won’t end for Our Hero as he continues through Tennessee. He rode a total of sixty-three miles today. Add to that, he did 3,450 feet of climbing hills! The plus side? He got to go downhill for 3,200 feet! Down is every serious bike rider’s favorite. You can imagine why.
Cindy grabbed a photo of him starting out:

A pretty pond, and those lucky people living in the house in the background get to see it every day:

Next was Nickajack Lake. It’s actually a reservoir. The name makes me want to sing Otis Redding’s song, “Do the Huckle Buck.” I don’t know why:

Nickajack is very long. Our Hero rode alongside it for a while:

I found a stock photo aerial view to give you a better idea of its size:

Art grabbed a photo of that bridge as he rode by:

Never fear, there were hills:

He continued this hill climb:

At this point, his ride took him alongside the Tennessee River, which he had been by for over an hour when he took this photo through the trees in Chattanooga, Tennessee:

Beautiful. We’ll have a little more about this next photo location in the next post, as they spent a day off here:

Then, TADA!!! Welcome to Georgia, sweet Georgia….

I told him to have a Georgia peach for me! I love peaches. The only thing I enjoy about summer (I’m not a warm-weather kind of gal) is Peaches and Watermelon.
Finally, though I’m not sure what town he is in for this, he took this photo of a statue that says Iowa on the back side. I told him it appeared he’d been riding in the wrong direction. For a while. LOL. Here it is:

The pixels are too bad when I try to enlarge and read it, but it appears to be a Civil War memorial of some sort.
