If you’re a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, you are aware that twice a year, our church has a worldwide General Conference. At this time, we usually hear from the President and Prophet of our church (think similar to the Pope if you don’t understand, though there is more to him than that, in our opinion) and several of the Apostles and other leaders of our church. On this particular occasion, though, our dear Prophet, President Russell M. Nelson, had passed away only days before at the age of one hundred and one. In order to watch General Conference, Our Hero only rode forty-four miles. He wanted to get back home in time to see it!
On this day, the shoulder was quite good – at least for a while. But, hey, if the journey was easy, it wouldn’t be the challenge he’s looking for:

He did get a tip from a lady selling crafts in front of the RV Park about a back road he could ride that was smooth and had very little traffic. So he took it! Art said she was very kind, and her tip was so helpful. You never know who might have good information for you. The trick is to be sociable and kind to everyone. We should all be practicing “Kindness Always,” which happens to be my personal motto.
Art saw a lot of people ready for Halloween! Especially on the many farms he passed:

I love skeletons for Halloween! I used to put some on two Victorian-style bicycle sculptures I had in my house:

Not to be disappointed, these folks felt the same way. Check out these animal-riding bone men:

This one is on a deer:

Since it was a short riding day, that’s all we have for photos. Never fear, it picks up next time around!
Next Up: Day 59 – Sunday, a Day of Rest and More General Conference AND Day 60 – Hurtling Toward the End Goal!
