Wouldn’t you know, Jay and I forgot to take a selfie at the ward (church) we visited today (again). Nevertheless, the talks were great, and we left feeling spiritually filled. I promised you some photos from the Deseret Peak Temple in Tooele County, just outside the city of Tooele, where we lived for the last six years before taking on this full-time RV life. You may recall that I wasn’t released until after 8 p.m. following my toe surgery, so it was already dark out. The Temple closes at 9 p.m. We grabbed something to eat since I hadn’t eaten all day, and then parked outside the parking lot. Our truck is a Ford F350, which means it is huge and often difficult to park in parking lots. This is what the Temple looked like at that time of night:

While this Temple was being built, I wrote the monthly Relief Society (women’s church group) newsletter and shared photos, with permission, taken by someone with a drone. It was amazing to watch it improve and come to completion over time. It is a beautiful, peaceful place.
I also took photos of the side because it was brightly lit and so beautiful when we were driving past it:

We also watched the Denver Broncos (American Football Team) play today. I know some people don’t think you should watch sports on a Sunday, but we do. And sadly, they lost again after a very close game.
This is what happens on a lazy day in this house, being retired and… oldish – LOL:

Yes, he did snore. And yes, he is annoyed I added this photo! LOL.
If you are friends with Art and Cindy, they posted on Facebook about some of the wards they have visited during this trip with some pictures there, too.
