Day 37 – Saturday Is On!

Art is riding across South Dakota for the next few days. On this day, he made it seventy miles! He landed in Spearfish, South Dakota. Below are some photos he took. And, he had lunch at “The Center of America.” Well, the sign showing the road that leads to it, but that would have been an extra eight miles up and possibly eight miles back just for that. He’s crazy, but not that crazy!

Wait, what? Cows? There are lots of cattle in South Dakota. Do they account for more than the number of people? Yes. There are approximately 3.55 million cows compared to the population of 887,770 people.

Would it be a day of riding for Our Hero if there were no hills? Of course not! Take a look at this upcoming one:

He made it over, though! It’s gorgeous through this area with some green, finally:

The plateau in the background looks cool:

What is it about blue skies? I love them! Gorgeous:

A distant range of mountains:

It’s interesting how one day and seventy miles can change the look of the sky. Blue and beautiful, it is the perfect backdrop for the hills:

Another gorgeous sky, some rock formations, and proof of life – the oncoming vehicle. LOL:

And finally, the place Art chose to eat his lunch on this day, at the sign for the road to “The Center of the Nation!”

And thank you for supporting me, too! I write because I LOVE to. Not just blogging, but poetry, short stories, and drabbles. And a novel I’ve been working on for around one hundred fifty years – LOL I have an Amazon Author Page where you can find all my anthologies that contain poems, short stories, and drabbles (exactly 100-word stories) here:

If you don’t like Amazon, I’m also on Goodreads here:

And for a freebie story I wrote years ago, War From the View of Mother Earth, on Spillwords:

My Amazon page is more updated than Goodreads, but while I’m recovering from the toe debacle, I’ll be updating both sites soon.
