Yesterday, Jay and Art took the truck to Les Schwab in Spokane, about fifteen minutes away from our campsite, to have the elusive calipers replaced on the front brakes. They rechecked the front ones due to the smoking brakes when we were traveling a couple of days ago. Those are still great. The rear brake pads will need to be replaced soon. We’ll have to keep an eye on those.
After the appointment, the ‘boys’ went to play disc golf at a course they found and enjoyed themselves, though both said they were playing poorly. It’s been too long since they practiced, and both said they lost power in their throws. They were shorter than they were before. With heads hung in shame (joking), they came back and walked the dogs.
Traveling with pets can be a challenge. Some animals travel well, and some spend that time stressed. Our two travel well now that they’ve had some practice. But Tristan always wants mega cuddles at night. Two nights ago, this was us:

We’re on the bed, and I’m in my pajamas. Hey, I’m sixty-four! That’s how this old lady sleeps, in jammies!

He keeps me warm, and we slept like this at least one third of the night. Yeah, I have an ice pack on my right foot. It’s been swelling due to an infection in a toe, and my “Orthowear” shoes, which force my feet to stay in alignment with my ankle. I’m having to wear different shoes for a while.
He’s been a happy boy today:

I’m not sure if you can tell, but I LOVE dogs, especially mine!
Cindy is on her flight heading this way. The dogs will go nuts when they see their mom!

Jay took a quick photo from the rearview mirror because he had almost forgotten:

And a better one, just not when Art and Cindy hugged:

And then they arrived at the RV, and Klaus and Violet went nuts!!

They sure missed their mom! And now, Cindy is home! Well, home to the RV for the next few months, anyway.
Next Up – I’ll only have one day at our next stop, so I’ll have to decide at the following stop.
