Practice Makes Perfect

Jay and Art have been riding their bikes, and I finally got them to start taking some photos for me. They have been focused on hills. Jay has done great on them! Of course, Art is already great on them because he has consistently kept his riding up. So here are some of the hills they tried:

This is on the eastbound Constitution hill, and that’s Jay with his head cut off! After all, Art is taking pictures as he’s riding, too:

That’s Jay back heading up a minor hill.

Does seeing him riding in all that traffic make you nervous? It does me. Especially because four years ago, his older brother was hit and killed while riding his bike in Colorado Springs. And the driver, who admitted to being on his phone and distracted by his special-needs child in the back seat, was never charged. It’s all about who you know, I guess.

And we finally kind of get a picture of Art with Jay making his way up Tutt hill. So here are some pictures of Art on his recumbent bike:

The hill Art rode up, without too much trouble:

And some deer he saw on another ride alone:

We are now on our way toward Washington. A couple of days in Tooele, Utah, for us to see our doctors, following heart surgery last Monday, July 21st, for an ablation for atrial fibrillation, and I’m good as new (almost). Our next stop is Boise, Idaho, to boondock for the night, then on to Yakima, Washington.

Up Next: We Are Almost READY!
