I spent several hours at the local hospital here in Colorado Springs about a week ago. It had taken me a while to realize this breathlessness was all about my heart issues. We have a possible resolution, and I didn’t have to stay, thank goodness! I followed up with another cardiologist on Friday concerning any medication changes. And it will take an ablation to resolve my atrial fibrillation (a-fib). That will fix it permanently. And no high-elevation trips—at least until after the surgery. I’m a bit wiped out. Ah, growing old and some nasty a-fib. What a lovely pain in the pa toot! But life goes on. On that exhausting day, it was raining cats and dogs.

And the next day, we saw this interesting cloud formation that cut across the mountains:

But since then, we’ve had some rather hot days. It’s so hot, our two dogs haven’t wanted to go out in it much. They are quite the joy to have around, though. My boy, Tristan, who will be 12 in about two weeks:

And our little one, Sophie, aka: Little Bit, who will be 16 soon:

I flipped the pillow over for her so it was cool.
Next Up: I really don’t know with this rain, then super heat, and my breathing issues. But I’ll come up with something!
